Broadsword awarded highest climbing sustainable agency

event:decision and micebook teamed up to bring to life Power 30: a list of 30 sustainable event agencies in the UK market. The annual list identifies and recognise the event agencies that lead the way in sustainable event management. The Power 30 Most Sustainable Agencies 2025-26 were revealed at micebook EXPO and Broadsword is proud to be a 2026 Power 30 agency for a a second year.

The campaign serves as a benchmark and motivation for the events industry to continue advancing sustainable practices on the ongoing journey towards a sustainable events industry. As sustainable event delivery becomes a growing priority for clients, event agencies like Broadsword that commit to and lead on environmental and social responsibility are helping to raise standards across the wider industry and act as a catalyst for wider positive impact. We continue to raise standards, prioritise continuous improvement, collaboration, and knowledge sharing in line with this mission.

Broadsword was also honoured to be awarded highest climber as a stand out entry in the list.

MD Anna Green was invited to speak on the panel accompanying the announcement to reflect on the progress we’ve made along with the challenges and opportunities within the industry, and the willingness to keep evolving. Anna said “Being recognised alongside 30 agencies leading the way on sustainability across our industry is a real honour and even more so to be one of just five B Corps included on this year’s list”.

The most sustainable event agencies are evaluated on sustainable internal practices as well as the ability to deliver responsible and sustainable outcomes for client events. Unlike many industry recognition programmes, this initiative is scored according to pre-published credentials rather than being subjectively judged. The results are qualified, scored, and benchmarked to produce a list of the best performers in sustainability, showcasing real capabilities and proof points for responsible agencies.

Agencies completed a rigorous and wide-ranging questionnaire, requesting data on both agency strategy, tactics and accreditation, followed by an analysis of real event case-studies to enter the Most Sustainable Agencies. Submissions were scored, not judged, then benchmarked to provide the clearest view of event agency sustainability available.

Susie Harwood, micebook editor, said: “This list recognises agencies that are not only taking responsibility for their own business practices but are also actively enabling more sustainable outcomes for the events they deliver. It provides a valuable reference point for corporates looking to work with agencies that take sustainability seriously, in practice rather than just in principle.”
