About this document

At Broadsword, we believe acting ethically and responsibly is a requirement of us as a business and a requirement of our employees. We believe this requirement also extends to our suppliers who provide goods and services to, or on behalf of Broadsword.

Broadsword is committed to only doing business with suppliers that comply with applicable and controlling laws and regulations, and with standards of business conduct that are in line with those detailed within this Broadsword Supplier Code of Conduct (herein referenced as Code of Conduct”)

This Code of Conduct applies globally and describes Broadsword’s expectations of its suppliers in the areas of corporate social responsibility, labour standards and practice, and business integrity.

Environmental Responsibility

Broadsword is committed to reducing Greenhouse Gas emissions and reducing our waste footprint, both within our organisation, and when delivering events. Supplier appointments are reviewed on both cost and environmental performance.

Broadsword’s policy covering our Net Zero goals, commitment to The Circular Economy, monitoring and reporting, and accountability can be found on our website.

Broadsword encourages our supply chain to adopt similar environmental and sustainability practices.

Labour Standards and Practice

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Broadsword is committed to encouraging diversity and eliminating discrimination in both its role as an employer and as a provider of services. Our policy is to provide equity and fairness for all in our employment and in our provision of services and not to discriminate on the grounds of gender, marital status or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, ethnic origin, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, religion or belief, age, or gender reassignment. Respecting diversity supports our aim of creating a caring and enjoyable environment at Broadsword.

These principles apply equally to the way staff members treat, and are treated by visitors, clients, customers, suppliers, and anyone else who staff members meet in the workplace and at any work-related events. Diversity is about valuing and embracing the differences in people, whether that relates to any of the protected characteristics set out in the Equality Act 2010 or any other aspect of people’s background or personality that is not covered in legislation.

While Broadsword respects cultural differences, suppliers must treat its employees and anyone else with the highest level of respect and maintain a harassment and discrimination free workplace, complying to local laws and regulations relating to equality.
