Established in 2006, Broadsword is a global events agency with offices in London and Hong Kong. Our clients are large, well-known companies and we deliver a portfolio of in person, hybrid and virtual global event experiences, video production and content creation.

Overview

Broadsword is looking for an experienced event professional to join the Hong Kong team.

We are looking for an individual who is happy to work from home, fluent in Mandarin and English with knowledge and experience of webinar production, sponsorships events, and conferences in the financial services sector.

Terms to be negotiated dependant on experience and time committed. Please only apply if you already have the right to work in Hong Kong. We are not able to provide a work visa for this role. 


Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to your customers
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Work closely with the client on the event content, plan, structure and message
  • Attend site visits in an advisory role to discuss and develop logistical solutions for the client brief
  • Securing and management via 3rd parties, including venues, local AV/​production vendors, ensuring all AV requirements are fulfilled
  • Budget management – Understand priorities around the financial success of a project and demonstrate the ability to develop an overall budget, negotiate contracts, analyse financial data and make commercial decisions to protect profitability
  • Oversee the entire pre-event process and ensure the brief and proposal is delivered, project objectives and customer expectations are met
  • Primary point of contact for the client, answering questions and resolving issues that arise over the course of the event
  • On site coordination, including overseeing 3rd parties to ensure that the event goes smoothly and quickly and respond to client issues
  • Manage the planning of the build and installation of a live or virtual show, including the coordination of lighting, sound, video, set and staging, electrical infrastructure, communications and any other equipment, permissions and licensing necessary for the event
  • Post event completion of costs, invoicing and all related paperwork
  • Design and implement efficient and accessible processes and best practices for event delivery
  • Know and implement Broadsword best practices and serve as a champion for the Broadsword Way’
  • Establish and utilise strong working relationships with others, be adaptive in style of communication to yield the best outcome
  • To act as an extension of the client and Broadsword teams at all times
  • Ensure the project team is correctly resourced, recruiting, inducting and managing freelance staff as required
  • Deliver your responsibilities in a way that is aligned to our corporate social responsibility commitments
  • Any other reasonable tasks or duties as directed by your manager or senior member of staff
