Ash — Senior Production Manager, Lorraine — Senior Event Manager, Paul — Creative Designer and Simon — Deputy Operations Manager join events agency, Broadsword. We asked them a couple of questions to get to know them better.

When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Paul: Tall.

Simon: When I was a kid I wanted to be an archaeologist.

Lorraine: A photographer – Growing up, my dad had this Canon camera, which I loved and would steal regularly. I would save up my pocket money so that I could buy film for the camera and then off I would go. When I started travelling and moved to Nepal for a year, the first thing I bought was a similar Canon Camera from an American traveller. I would walk for hours around Kathmandu, taking picture after picture – I was the local photo film developers best customer! 😊

Ash: I have no idea. I have very little memory of growing up. Not sure why. I’m not sure that I even knew what I wanted to be when I was 16 or 18. I still don’t. It’s all just a journey.

What is your most-used productivity hack?

Simon: My most used productivity hack is to not go hungry. 

Ash: Only attempt to do things that you have control or influence over. 

What is the best place you’ve travelled to?

Paul: India

Simon: I sent my name to Mars on the Perseverance Mars Rover last year which is definitely the coolest place my name has been to. Does that count?

Lorraine: This is difficult, I have been to some amazing places and there are still loads more that I have yet to visit, but if I absolutely had to choose, it would be Marrakech. I had dreamt of going there since I was a child and when I finally made it there, it was everything and more than I had expected. The colours, light, people, food, sights, sounds were incredible, and I could have spent weeks/​months

Ash: There are too many places to have just one. I think most recently it was Ha Giang in northern Vietnam. 3 days on a scooter travelling through primal landscapes.

What are three items you would take to a deserted island?

Paul: Tool kit, iPad and a solar panel.

Ash: A satellite communication device, a big flag and a luxury yacht.
