event:decision and micebook teamed up to create the Power 30 Most Sustainable Agencies UK, a definitive list of the top 30 most sustainable event agencies in the UK market.

With an aim to identify and recognise agencies that lead the way in sustainable event management, micebook and event:decision evaluated entrants based on credentials, data on sustainable internal business practices and analysis of event case studies that have delivered sustainable outcomes for clients. Submissions were scored, not judged, then benchmarked to provide the clearest view of event agency sustainability.

We were absolutely delighted to have achieved a spot on the prestigious list and be recognised for our commitment to embedding sustainability into our internal and external business practices. Broadsword believe business can be used as a force for good and since achieving B Corp certification in 2024, we are raising our standards—and then raising them again.

1/5 agencies in Power 30 are B Corp certified. Being a B Corp means we are measured holistically across our impact on workers, environment, community, and planet. Some highlights being that we’ve committed to spending 1% of profits on good causes, we contributed 561 hours of volunteering hours in 2024 (a 60% increase), and have been offsetting 100% of their carbon emissions since 2022.

The initiative by micebook contributes to a broader goal of creating a more sustainable events sector, with Broadsword’s Managing Director being named in their list of Power 50 Green Champions, by fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing and spotlighting the leading agencies in this field.
